“I have a story to tell. Of a lovely GSD boy named Teddy”

A Dog Story From Monrovia, Indiana-Missing Dog Helpline

He found us on a Christmas eve. There was no choice but to take him home. He has been a stray and showed up at my Dad’s house. He was instantly ours, our good boy ! He became my oldest daughter’s 4-H dog. He came down with a disease that destroyed his nerves 3 months after her grandfather died. We knew he would not make it. She begged us to allow her to take care of him. Tears are streaming down my cheeks as I type this. We felt we needed to give her what she needed. For 5 days she hand fed and watered him. He was paralyzed. She messaged him, slept with him and that sweet boy allowed her to work out her grief by taking care of him. We had to step in and have him put down for his needs.

But, I sometimes wonder if that wasn’t the sole reason he came to us! To help a little 12 years old girl!! Bless this breed!”
