Dogs are man’s best friend for a reason – humans take care of them and dogs take care of their owners. While you might think your dog can eat anything you can, this is definitely not the case. In fact, there are some food that can harm your dog if they eat them. What to Feed Your Dog
While you shouldn’t give your dog human food all the time, here are some specific foods that are safe for humans and dogs to consumer.
•Peanut Butter – They may find it strange at first, but you’re going to be surprised at how much dogs like peanut butter. Make sure to not give them too much, but a little won’t hurt them.
•Cooked Chicken – Make sure you take the bones out so they don’t choke on them, but cooked chicken is a great snack for dogs that will have them happy without harming them in any way.
•Cheese – Believe it or not, some dogs are lactose intolerant. If this is the case with your pet, don’t give it to them. On the other hand, if they’re fine with it, this can be a tasty and healthy treat for your canine friend.
What NOT to Feed Your Dog
On the other hand, here’s a list of some specific foods that you should never feed your dog under any circumstances.
•Chocolate – You’ve probably heard of this warning before, but it’s important for you to take seriously. That’s why we included it in our list of human foods you should never give to a dog.
•Grapes & Raisins – These may seem harmless to give to your dog – and they may enjoy them – but feeding them to a dog may give them kidney problems, including complete kidney failure which can lead to death quickly.
•Human Drinks – If you’re thinking of giving your dog delicious antioxidant drinks
, you need to think again. While this may sound like a good idea, it’s really not. Make sure they have enough fresh water and they’re going to be happier than you can imagine.
If you love your dog, make sure you take the time to learn all the various foods that you should and shouldn’t be giving them. It’s part of your responsibility as a pet owner to make sure they’re eating as healthy as possible at all times.
